how to change the default Logo
You could delete the old logo image, make your logo the same size (635x150), name your logo the same, and upload it to the same directory (templates/yourtemplate/images/header_short.jpg).  Or, edit the css file for your template and change the name of the background image in the #header to reflect your logo
